In this examination of prejudice, Jewish immigrants Victor and Ruth Wiseman (Stanley Townsend and Emily Woof) find their English neighbors rather offish --until an even less welcome Jamaican family moves onto the street. Now the community wants their help shooing away the newcomers. But eleven-year-old David Wiseman (Sam Smith), oblivious to the social pressure, befriends Dennis Samuels (Delroy Lindo) and his daughter Judy (Leonie Elliot) because they share his passion for the game of cricket.
