Synopsis: After witnessing the death of his father as a child, the now grown Amsterdam Vallon (Leonardo DiCaprio) returns to New York City to seek revenge. It is 1863, and most of Manhattan is run by gangs, but the man Vallon is looking for is know as 'The Butcher" (Daniel Day-Lewis).
