Dewey Finn (Jack Black) greatest aspiration is to win the Battle of the Bands. Unfortunately, with only weeks remaining until the competition, the chubby lead singer has just been voted out of his rock group. When he is also threatened with eviction unless he gets a job, the freeloader takes desperate measures.
